A generous aroma of crushed red fruits, with plenty of raspberry, leads to pure, kirschlike flavors that show freshness and intensity. A suave, modern style, with a long finish that features plenty of grip. Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2012. K.M.

90 Outstanding - Domaine La Croix Belle Vin de Pays des Cotes de Thongue No.7 red 2005
A muscular and powerful red, with rich flavors of kirsch, dark plum and pomegranate. Very dense, with a finish of French roast and bittersweet chocolate. Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache, Cinsault, Carignane, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Best from 2009 through 2013. K.M.

88 Very Good - Domaine La Croix Belle Vin de Pays des Cotes de Thongue Les Calades 2005
A taut red, with sinewy berry, red plum and savory herb flavors. Intriguing notes of mineral and iodine run through this as well. Has a mocha-filled finish. Syrah, Mourvèdre, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2011.

There's good weight and density to the dark plum, berry and boysenberry flavors. Dark chocolate lingers on the tannic finish. Drink now through 2011.

Ripe and chocolaty, with supple tannins and broad flavors of dark plum, blackberry and dark cherry flavors. Has a focused finish of cassis, with hints of mint. Drink now through 2012.
