The “Champ des Grillons” (“Crickets’ Field”) is a gourmet rosé, going marvellously well with Mediterranean or Asian cuisine. An elegant and powerful wine.
GRAPE VARIETIES:
Grenache Noir (40%), Syrah (30%), Cabernet-Sauvignon (30%)
APPELLATION:
PGI Côtes de Thongue
SOIL:
Clayish-calcareous
SUBSOIL:
Gravelly soil and pebbles
YIELD:
45 hectolitres per hectare
AGE OF VINES:
20 years
CULTURE:
Rigorous pruning, natural grassing
YIELD:
Harvest sorting
VINIFICATION:
Traditional, low temperature. Rosé made by direct pressing, fermentation on lees.
AGING:
4 to 6 months in tanks before bottling.
DESCRIPTION:
Very pale rosy colour with light tints of purple. Floral and spicy notes on the nose. Subtle and harmonious on the palate, this rosé will surprise you with its great finesse.
FOOD AND WINE COMBINATIONS:
Serve at 12-13°C with a summery Mediterranean meal or throughout the year with traditional, spicy or Asian cuisine.
